The Concept

 

Château Grandview is the cornerstone of the project, providing apartment homes for those who seek a low maintenance lifestyle or desire easy access to hospitality and/or support services. There will be 2 bedroom units, units with 1 bedroom plus den and 1 bedroom units.

 

The Château Grandview will be built in three phases. Phase 1 will include 63 apartment homes for Supportive Living, in a four storey building. Phase 2 will allow 72 apartments for Supportive or Assisted Living. Phase 3 will see the construction of a separate unit for residential care. Phase 1 is in the final stages of planning, with construction anticipated to begin in the Spring of 2012 and occupancy a year later.


Key features of these apartment homes include:

• Ownership: Fee-Simple Strata or rental
• Hospitality services, including one main meal and light housekeeping
• Emergency response system
• Social and recreational services
• On-site amenities, including activity rooms, concession store
• Membership in the cooperative and participation in decisions affecting Grandview Heights and Château Grandview

 

Social Housing Investors

We will have some units for purchase that will qualify for the SAFER program (Shelter Assistance For Elderly Residents) and a rental pool is being considered.
