Contracts

  1. Marwest Industries Ltd $3,639,198.10 executed April 09, 2008.
  2. Selkirk Paving Ltd
    • Prices established
    • Checking specifications with WSAE
    • Checking on primer need with WSAE
  3. Alto Construction Ltd
    • Interviews with 34 GFLLs underway
    • After costs are established with 2nd Interview then total contract amount will be established
    • Contract documents all printed an ready
    • CCDC document 14 needs to be completed with costs
  4. U/G Electrical
    • Costs and drawings from Fortis BC this week
    • Shaw Cable costs and drawings are in
    • Telus drawings are in
    • WSAE is overlaying these drawings over Infrastructure Drawings to check discreptancies and conflicts
    • Meeting with Martech scheduled for Monday, April 21, 2008 to develop preliminary total budget amount
    • Unit prices from 2006 Redstone competitive pricing is being offered by Martech Electrical Systems

Ground Floor Housing

  1. Building Permit
    • ACL to apply and pay for permits
    • EWV called Mike DeFosse, BI, this afternoon and left message to confirm status
  2. Payment of DCC’s
    • Paid Thursday, April 10, 2008.
    • Collection of funds is underway from GFLLs
  3. Documents from JO’F status from Dorothy
  4. Tamelin chose B16 and now all 34 units are confirmed
  5. Meetings with GFLLs / ACL started April 14, 2008 .
  6. Price increase threat by ACL has not materialized at this time
  7. Contract with CoW Cyril Sookachoff
    • Copies of all plans now made
    • Copies of all ACL tender documents now printed and in Cyril’s hands
    • Formal contract draught to be complete with objective date of April 18, 2008
  8. Status of Financial Commitment Letters
    • DD will comment
    • EWV making a binder with all data available for CoW and
    • Copy at EWV offices to track all data on all individual units
  9. ACL still needs copies of Financial Commitment letters from DFLLs
  10. ACL is scheduling Construction Start for Monday, April 21, 2008.
  11. Some Issues that have been resolved:
    • Siting of housing units performed by WSAE at request by ACL
    • Cross-section of unit location on site prepared
    • Each unit will be excavated 24” to bottom of footings at front wall centerpoint
    • Backyard at D13 through D16 in deep fill lacked backyard
    • MiL is placing this fill at no cost even though it is not their responsibility
    • ACL seems to be having difficulty with mobilizing
    • Interviews with members needed some policing as members were asking for structural changes which are not permitted
    • ACL advised that no such commitments have been made
    • A Sign from the Building Committee has been posted in the ACL trailer and a copy of this edict has been sent to all GFLLs

  1. Underway
  2. Has made contact with HCU
  3. Request completion April 30, 2008

 

Emerald Green Developments

  1. Construction road available
  2. Need to build gate at property line on 14th Avenue
  3. All machinery on site with operators ready to go as of this morning
  4. Final Construction Permit from CoC still a WSAE holdup but he is working on it
  5. Final bonding amount for 14th Avenue also an amount to be developed by WSAE
  6. Phil Markin is away until next week to finalize
  7. Advised DS of WSAE to talk with Russ Hearne about whatever CoC can do to assist this matter
  8. BMcI of EGD called EWV April 15, 2008.
    • Still anxious to start
    • Still has some unresolved issues with his gravel mining but close to starting
    • Ready to do agreement ASA all details are completed with CoC for Construction Permit
