Harry was born in Vancouver and became a chemist at the pulp mill in Prince Rupert, worked as a range manager in the Caribou-Chilcotin and then started teaching in Nelson in the '60s before coming to Selkirk College. He retired in 1996. Harry was the main co-ordinator for the Spring Festival of Awareness at Selkirk College in its early years. In 2006 Harry and Nora joined the Kootenay Columbia Senior Housing Cooperative and he became a prominent fixture
in many committees until his health began to fail. His contributions are an outstanding example for all of us and he will be missed.
