Calamida's sky line is changing.

With the last days of Summer we see a renewed activity on Calamida Estates. We watched two houses racing toward lock up stage, they have been neck and neck putting the roofs on, then the doors and windows. We should see the siding going up soon. It is a big suspense: what will the houses look like? One is for sale, the hard landscaping is in place. The other is for a young couple anxious to move into their first house before the snow flies.

A third house has begun close to Grandview Heights.

First Baby Shower at Grandview.

The first baby born in July is a trail blazer. We look forward to more families moving to Calamida Estates.

A group of eager ladies gathered to celebrate Cameron and his mother. The weather cooperated and
Irene's patio was the perfect setting, overlooking the river valley. All these grandmothers knew
what gifts to give and it kept Laura busy while Cameron went from one set of arms to another.
He was a perfect guest.

  BC Seniors Games 2011

The cities of Nelson, Trail and Castlegar were hosts to seniors from all over BC coming to compete in many activities of the B.C. Seniors Games.

From August 16th to the 20th the games were held in the three cities of Castlegar, Nelson and Trail. KCSHC members were amongst the many volunteers that made the Games such a success.
Jack, an avid tennis player, was on call to give the tennis awards when he was not driving the athletes to their venues. He will remember for a long time his special role in the Torch lighting ceremony.

Our volunteers were also on the golf greens at the ready for any request of the participants.

A Tour of the Neighbourhood Gardens

One beautiful summer afternoon a group of us took a walkabout to view the various gardens
and landscaping touches that have been inserted in the neighbourhood. There are some talented
greenthumbs in evidence which are not given enough justice in this sampling of photos.
