MINUTES OF KCSHC ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
March 18, 2007              

 

The Annual General meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm at the Carpenters Hall and the president Irene gave an address to the membership by stating some of the past year’s progress and the excitement of the sewer, water and roads starting soon. When speaking about the road access, she mentioned the need for the membership to attend a public hearing on April 2, 2007.

 

Irene told of the progress of the Care Committee and of the trip to Edmonton, and asked that others get involved. Irene thanked all the committee members on all committees and the need for help with the Care Committee. A sod turning ceremony will be held soon after the PLR from the City of Castlegar is received.  

 

Directors
Nominations were asked for from the floor for the coming year. When asked if there were any nominations, there were none. When asked if the Directors would stand for another term, they all said yes except for Bill Popoff who has resigned. It was moved by Fred Evanoff and seconded by Jake Koenig that the Directors be reinstated – Carried.
The Directors are:

Building Committee
It was moved by Bill Voykin and seconded by Dorothy that the Building Committee members be reinstated .  – Carried.  
The Building Committee members are:

  • Alex Bojey
  • John Adams
  • Lorne Tamelin
  • Dorothy Derguosoff, (dir)
  • Peter Dergousoff

Care Committee
It was moved by Ann Chursinoff seconded by Nora that the Care Committee be reinstated for another term- Carried.  
The Care Committee members are:

  • Bonnie Anderson (pres)
  • Marilyn Verigin
  • Lovette Nichvolodoff
  • Irene Tamelin
  • Natalie Voykin
  • Harry Jukes, (dir)
  • John Adams
  • Janice Johnson.

 

Rules Committee
The Rules Committee was reinstated moved by Dorothy seconded by Nora Jukes – Carried.
The members of the Rules Committee are:

  • Alex Perehudoff
  • Ann Zibin
  • Ann Chursinoff (dir)

 

Treasurer's Report - 2007
It was moved by Dorothy and seconded by Nat Voykin that the treasurer’s report be accepted as presented. It was moved that Craig Gutwald remain our accountant for the next year, moved by Dorothy seconded by Elmer- Carried.

 

It was moved that we retain lawyer John O’Fee for another year. Moved by Dorothy seconded by Elmer. Carried.

 

Moved that the Annual meeting be adjourned by Ken Auld, seconded by Patricia Klapp. Carried.
