Nora's Notes:
Dale West snapped this marvellous photo at the end of our Sod Turning Ceremony on June 16th, 2007. Looking East, down onto Grandview Heights from Blueberry Mountain, one can see the Columbia River flowing by, from left to right, and from North to South. Our land is at the South end of Castlegar, with Highway 3 visible on the mountain across from us, heading from Castlegar to the Bombi Summit and down towards the Salmo area.

Vehicles can still be seen on the South end of Grandview Heights, where the Sod Turning Ceremony just took place. Our Members' Bungalows and Duplexes will spring forth on both sides of Grandview Drive, from the Southwestern edge, next to 14th Ave. on the right, to the East, and all along the ledge to the Northeastern corner. The large open space to the left, will host the Building Lots that are available to the public, on both sides of Rosewood Lane and on the North side of Calamida Lane. These Lanes will run West to East, from 14th Ave. to Grandview Drive.

In the middle of our land is a green patch of trees and shrubs where, in Phase Two, the Care Centre and Apartment Complex will be built. Reserve your spot now and come and join us at Grandview Heights.

Watch this Website for photo updates on how this project progresses. Two of our Members, Jim and BettyAnn Mullen, who suggested this view point to Dale West, will continue to hike up here and share their photos with us so that we can catch an overview of the growth of this exciting development.
